In this project I designed a magazine for the organic supermarket chain Aquarishop. The purpose of this magazine is to inspire and inform customers about the organic lifestyle.
For the magazine cover, I conveyed a positive feel with the posture and expression of the woman and the colorful ingredients. In contrast, the sections are all white to maintain a calm composition and provide clear differentiation.
On the introductory pages, the background is filled with colorful salads, and I opted for a warm green color for the typography. The colophon is positioned on the left side within a colored panel for clear placement.
This section focuses on the harvesting of cocoa beans. It is colored in beige and brown to thematically align with the topic. This is complemented by various images, including a large one that spans across the two pages.
This section about the Anchovy is colored in white and blue to match the light blue color of the fish. The text goes around the image of the Anchovy for a dynamic layout. Additionally, to maintain balance between the two pages, I have filled the right side with a large image.
This section about Apeldoorn is colored in light blue and dark turquoise to match the soft images of fruits and vegetables. Additionally, I have placed the text boxes mirrored from each other for a clear structure.
This section is about farmer Alma and his potatoes. I placed a black-and-white image of Alma, with the headline colored in red for contrast. Additionally, there is an advertisement designed by me for Aquarishop, highlighting the pomegranate, with the help of angled panels on both sides that enhance the entire composition.
